Résumé
Introduction : De nombreux étudiants, dans leur cadre de leur étude ont mis en place une consultation au sein de clubs sportifs. Aucune publication n’a analysé ce phénomène pour l’ostéopathie. La problématique de ce mémoire était de décrire le recours aux traitements ostéopathiques par des étudiants ostéopathes chez des rugbymen amateurs.
Méthodes : Il s’agit d’une étude par un questionnaire destiné aux rugbymen amateurs licenciés au sein de la fédération française de rugby. Les réponses ont été collectées au format papier après la consultation durant leur entrainement.
Résultats : Au total, 30 participants ont été inclus dans notre étude. La majorité (80%) des participants avaient déjà consulté un ostéopathe diplômé. Près de la moitié ont consulté un étudiant pour le soin de blessures ou la prise en charge de douleurs sans association avec d’autres thérapies et deux tiers ont été envoyés par leur entraineur. Les résultats ont également détaillé les points descriptifs du recours aux traitements ostéopathiques par des étudiants ostéopathes.
Conclusion : Selon les rugbymen amateurs la présence d’un étudiant ostéopathe lors de leur entrainement serait indispensable. Ainsi les écoles pourraient être intéressées pour mettre en place des stages à l’attention des étudiants au sein de clubs sportifs sous la tutelle d’ostéopathes diplômés.

Title : Descriptive analysis of reasons and expectations from amateur rugby players consulting a student in osteopathy durine their training
Introduction : Many students , within their studies, have set up a consultation in their sport clubs. No publications have analysed this phenomenon for the osteopathy speciality. The topic of this essay is to describe and introduce the recourse to the osteopathic treatments led by students in osteopathy within a club of amateur rugby players.
Methods : The Study was based on the analysis of a questionnaire aimed to the amateurs rugby players holding a license within the Rugby French Federation . The answers were collected on a hard copy alter the consultation with an osteopath during their training.
Results :Total, 30 participants were included in our study. Most of the the participants (80%) have already consulted a graduated osteopath. About half of them have already consulted a student to cure his wounds or take charge of the pains, which are not linked to or taken in charge by other therapies and two third of them were sent by their coach. The results have also detailed the description of the different phases linked to resort to the osteopathic treatments led by students in osteopathy.
Conclusion : According to the amateur players, the presence of a student in osteopathy during their training was essential. And the school could be interested and to set up internships for students in sports clubs under tutelage of osteopathes graduates.
