Résumé
Introduction : L’objectif de cette étude est double : elle vise à évaluer et comparer la reproductibilité inter-praticien de deux tests ostéopathiques sur le rachis cervical (test de convergence en décubitus dorsal et test de mobilité en position assise), ainsi qu’à observer la capacité de deux jeunes ostéopathes à objectiver une dysfonction somatique.
Matériel et méthode : Les sujets (N=60), ont été séparés en deux groupe distincts (N=30). Les praticiens ont réalisé le test de convergence sur le premier groupe, et le test de mobilité sur le second groupe. Les résultats ont ensuite été soumis au calcul de kappa cohen afin de mesurer leur concordance.
Résultats : Les deux tests ont obtenus une reproductibilité relative. Le test de mobilité obtient : 0,35 soit une concordance faible. Le test de convergence obtient : 0,56 soit une concordance modérée.
Discussion : Cette étude n’a pas réussi à démontrer une bonne reproductibilité des deux tests sur la région cervicale. Cependant, le test de convergence apparaît comme plus reproductible que le test de mobilité. Ceci peut s’expliquer par la position du patient, mais surtout par le fait que le test de convergence, permet plus facilement de reproduire une douleur.
Conclusion : Nous ne pouvons pas conclure à une bonne reproductibilité des deux tests sur cette étude. Nous pouvons juste affirmer que le test de convergence apparaît comme plus reproductible que le test de mobilité en position assise.

Abstract
Title : Experimental study on inter-practitioner reproducibility of two osteopathic tests applied to the cervical spine, convergence test supine and passive mobility test in a sitting position.
Intro:The objective of this study is double : it aims to evaluate and compare the inter-practitioner reproducibility of two osteopathic tests on the cervical spine (convergence test in the supine position and mobility test in a sitting position) and to observe the ability of two young osteopaths of objectifying somatic dysfunction.
Material and Method : Subjects (N=60) were separated into two groups (N=30). Both practitioners realized the convergence test on the first group, and mobility test on the second one. The results were then subjected to kappa cohen calculation for consistency measurment.
Results : Both tests obtained relative reproducibility. The mobility test give a result of 0.35 ; a poor agreement. The convergence test, give 0.56 ; a moderate agreement. The convergence test was more reproducible than the mobility one.
Discution : This study failed to demonstrate good reproducibility of both tests on the neck. However, the convergence test appears to be more reproducible than the mobility test. This can be explained by the patient’s position, but especially by the fact that the convergence test makes it easier to reproduce patient pain. This study also confirms the ability of young osteopaths in objectifying somatic dysfunction and to strength the hypothesis that spinal somatic dysfunction would manifest more as dysfunctional area, involving several vertebraes and not as a dysfunction of one spinal floor.
Conclusion : We cannot conclude as a good reproducibility of both tests on the study. We can just say that the convergence test appears to be more reproducible than the mobility one.
